Transport Supervisor / Planner – Nights
We are a large depot, covering a large geographical area locally and operate 30+ vehicles daily. We are members of two pallet networks seeing us handle 3,500+ pallets per week.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a second Transport Planner to join our busy and established Pallet Network operation on a night shift.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced transport professional to support our existing Transport Planner and help ensure all freight is planned and delivered on time, every time.
As this is a night role, we’re looking for someone confident working independently, who can make sound operational decisions and keep things running smoothly through the night.
Working hours:
18:00 – 04:00 Monday to Friday (no weekends or bank holidays)
Key Responsibilities
- Debrief day operation
- Scan pallets on return to the depot
- Ensure all pallet deliveries are planned and routed
- Plan/allocate drivers and vehicles across day and night operations
- Assist with out-of-hours breakdowns and vehicle issues
- Support the wider transport team to maintain operational efficiency
About You
- Previous experience in a similar transport planning role (essential)
- Experience within a pallet network environment (highly advantageous)
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Good communication skills and confident decision-making ability
- Flexible approach and willingness to work in a varied, fast-paced environment
