About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Management Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial management activities, preparing accurate financial reports, and supporting strategic decision-making processes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with a strong background in financial accounting and proficiency in various accounting software platforms to contribute to organisational growth and efficiency. The Management Accountant will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity and supporting the organisation’s financial health.
Salary
£34,000-36,000 per year
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis against budgets and forecasts
- Ensure accurate accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Maintain an accurate fixed asset register
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies
- Assist with preparation of year end accounts
- Support compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, and audit requirements
- Collaborate with senior management to support strategic decision-making
- Complete weekly payment runs to suppliers
- Assist in other ad hoc finance related duties
About You
- AAT Level 3/4.
- Proven experience as a Management Accountant or similar role within a finance department.
- Knowledge of accounting software such as Sage or equivalent systems would be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of financial services industry practices is desirable.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial management, reporting, and accounting principles.
- Familiarity with accounts payable processes and general financial accounting procedures.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
