Logistics Coordinator - Pallet Network

Broughton Transport Solutions is a family run logistics company in Broughton Gifford, Wiltshire with an established and enviable reputation both locally and internationally for the quality of our general haulage and pallet transport services.
We are a large depot, covering a large geographical area operating 30+ vehicles daily. We are members of two pallet networks seeing us handle 4,000+ pallets per week.
About the role
We are looking for an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our Pallet Network team at our Melksham depot.
You'll work in a team responsible for the day-to-day coordination of pallet collections and deliveries, keeping freight moving on time and our customers properly informed. This is a hands-on role for someone who is organised, decisive, and comfortable working at pace within a busy logistics operation.
Hours
10:30 - 19:00 or 08:30 - 17:00 on rota
Monday to Friday (no weekends)

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily pallet collections and deliveries across the network, liaising with network partners and customers
- Track consignments in real time and resolve delays, mis-routes, or damage claims promptly
- Dispatch drivers to ensure timely delivery
- Liaise with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers to keep all parties updated
- Maintain accurate records in the transport management system (TMS), including PODs
- Ensure collections and deliveries meet pallet network SLAs and health & safety standards
- Escalate and manage exceptions, ensuring customers are never left without an update
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience coordinating logistics within a pallet network or general haulage environment
- Good working knowledge of pallet network processes
- Confident using transport management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office
- Clear, confident communicator who stays calm and professional under pressure
- Strong organisational skills, able to juggle competing priorities without dropping the ball
- Forklift ticket a bonus but not essential
